Waist Level Camera Privacy Policy
In short: Waist Level Camera doesn't collect anything. It never connects to the internet, there's no account, and there's no advertising, analytics or tracking. Your photos go straight into your own photo library and nowhere else.
Who this covers
Waist Level Camera is a camera app for iPhone, made by Daniel Waters ("I", "me"). This policy explains what it does with the camera, your photos and your settings.
What I collect
Nothing. The app has no network code at all, so nothing you do in it can reach me or anyone else.
If you choose to share crash reports and usage data with app developers in your device's settings, Apple may pass anonymous crash reports to me. You can change this in Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Analytics & Improvements.
Permissions
- Camera: to show the scene on the viewfinder and take the picture when you press the release. The live picture is used only on screen and is never recorded or stored.
- Photos (add only): each picture you take is developed on your iPhone and added to your photo library. The app asks only to add photos, so it can't see, change or delete anything already in your library.
- Motion: the tilt of your iPhone moves the light across the leather and chrome. This is read on your device, used only for the lighting, and never stored. You can switch it off in the app's settings.
Your settings
Your chosen mode, options and film counter are stored on your iPhone by the app. They're removed when you delete the app.
Your photos
Photos you take are kept in your photo library under Apple's control, and in iCloud Photos if you use it, under Apple's privacy policy. I have no access to them.
Children
The app collects no information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
