Waist Level Camera turns iPhone Duo into a classic waist-level film camera. Fold the phone to a right angle and hold it at your waist: the lower screen becomes the ground glass you look down into, and the cameras on the upper half face your subject. On any other iPhone, the whole camera fits on one screen.

What it does

• Authentic mode: pull the dark slide, wind the crank a full turn between frames, set shutter speed and aperture on the lens with a needle meter, focus by hand with a flip-up loupe. The viewfinder goes dark after each shot until you wind on. Twelve square frames to a roll.
• Simple mode: automatic exposure and focus, no dark slide, film that winds itself. Each rule can also be switched on or off on its own.
• Lit in real time: the polished chrome and pebbled leatherette catch the light as you tip the phone, and the reflections stay level with the room as you rock it.
• Film: colour negative, black and white or slide film, developed on the phone with a square crop, tone, grain and vignette, then saved to Photos.
• Works on every iPhone: on a regular iPhone the whole camera fits on one screen.
